Education

Perry Wood is a perfect environment for learning about wildlife, woodlands, the surrounding landscape, or just the importance of our connection with the natural world.  For school visits, there is ample parking and toilet facilities by arrangement with the Rose & Crown public house, which lies centrally to most walks through the wood.

The Discover Perry Wood project which enabled development of this website also funded production of an education pack for use by local schools.   The Mid Kent Downs Countryside Partnership offers help to local schools wishing to access outdoor sites for educational purposes and is happy to give further assistance is using the resources presented below.  There is also a wealth of resources available on the

Kent Downs Landscape Education website, which includes a circular walk from Selling Primary School to Perry Wood.
